About Us
What is it?
The Kinectory is a unique program of Sensory Smart Solutions, a tax-exempt nonprofit that conducts research and provides STEM trainings, sensory programs, services, and products for the child development field. We offer staff trainings for teachers and directors, education for parents, and an online store full of sensory products for a wide spectrum of uses. We also operate a STEM Center in the Heart of Round Rock which we are making available to the public for use by families, schools, foster and adoptive programs, and underprivileged communities.

How did it start?
The Kinectory began from an idea in 2013 to provide a hands-on learning environment that stimulates adventure and creativity where children of all learning styles and intelligences can excel. Originally the program consisted of a single sensory bin that was wheeled throughout a childcare facility to be used in coordination with their curriculum. Over the next year, the program grew exponentially. It was given its own room and quickly outgrew that! It was moved to its own wing of the facility where it now serves an entire school. The Kinectory is now a staple in the North Austin community providing resources like trainings, products, and a STEM Center for early childhood development where cutting edge research is conducted. Parents, children, staff, doctors, therapists, corporations, local school districts, and universities have reviewed the Kinectory with delight, providing sponsorships, making donations and offering endorsements to further its growth.
